Welcome to our tutorials page. Here you will find a variety of craft tutorials and easy everyday or holiday projects that you can create. If you would like to submit a tutorial or project you can use our submission form. With the submission form you can upload a couple photos that go along with your project or tutorial. I've been making rag quilts for almost 9 years. Below are tips that I wish I had known when I first started making rag quilts and thought I'd share them with you. I hope you find these tips very helpful. 1. You do not have to wash the fabric for a rag quilt before you begin. 2. Materials List 2 yards of Fabric 1 1 yard of Fabric 2 2 ½ yards of Fabric 3 for backing 1 bag of crib size batting (cotton, traditional or low loft) Sewing machine & Size 12 or 14 needles 900 yards of thread Scissors Lint roller Other helpful tools: 36” cutting mat Rotary cutter Cutting ruler Instructions 1. Materials List fabric of choice rotary cutter self-healing cutting mat cutting ruler Instructions 1. Double or quadruple your fabric to make cutting go faster when you need to cut several squares.
